Polantas Lhokseumawe Takes Innovative Step to Enhance Road Safety: Painting a Safer Path

Newsrbaceh.com | LHOKSEUMAWE - In a proactive move to prevent accidents and ensure commuter comfort, the Lhokseumawe Traffic Police have taken a unique initiative. Marking damaged road spots within the jurisdiction of Polres Lhokseumawe, officers applied a coat of bright white paint on Wednesday (23/8/2023).

Highlighting the significance of this endeavor, AKBP Henki Ismanto, Kapolres Lhokseumawe, shared through AKP Yozana Fajri Sidik, Head of Traffic Division, that the personnel utilized white paint as a clear marker for potholes and crevices. "White stands out remarkably, even from a distance, greatly aiding drivers," remarked Sidik.

These markers were strategically placed at several locations: Jalan Medan – Banda Aceh at the Lantas Cunda Intersection and the Selat Malaka Intersection. Additionally, they were introduced at the Jalan Merdeka Barat Intersection within the area regulated by the Traffic Order Zone (KTL) in Lhokseumawe City.

Sidik added, "Our officers also engaged in spreading awareness among road users, emphasizing adherence to traffic rules, including the mandatory use of front and rear helmets for two-wheeler riders."

This proactive step is anticipated to pave the way for enhanced road security, orderliness, and smooth traffic flow (Kamseltibcarlantas), while also reducing accident-related casualties within the jurisdiction of Polres Lhokseumawe.
